The second is a magical moment with the Terre Haute Madstone, which Abe Lincoln placed on his son's bite from a rabid dog. Cusine Oil Painting The third is a double portrait, marking the entrance of women into the military stage. Perhaps one of the first WAACs was Ruth Mary Martin. Cottages Oil Painting She salutes the Paris traveler, Janet Flanner, from Indianapolis, who stated during the darkest depths of World War II "when France fell, part of Terre Haute fell!"
